Oven Beef Tips and Gravy

I stumped across a delicious recipe. I will post the oringinal recipe that I found first. Then I will post the changed recipe due to my food allergy of mushrooms. My family loved this simple and quick to prepare dinner.

No Peek Beef Tips by Tina
2 lbs beef tips
1 10.5 oz can cream of mushroom soup
1 packet brown gravy mix
1 packet dry onion soup mix
1 small can mushrooms
1 cup water or ginger ale
Place meat evenly in a 9x13 pan. Sprinkle onion soup mix over meat. In a seperate bowl, combine the other ingredients and pour over meat mixture. Stir to evenly coat and top with mushrooms. Cover with foil bake at 300 for 3 hours. Do not remove the foil until done. Serve over rice, mashed potatoes or noodles.

This is what I did to change it up a little bit.
1 lb beef tips
1 lb ground beef
1 (10.5 oz) can cream of celery soup
1 packet turkey gravy mix
1 packet dry onion soup mix
1 1/2 C water
1 teaspoon (tsp) cornstarch
Evenly distribute the meats in a 9x13 pan. Cover the beef with the onion soup mix. In a medium bowl, combine the celery soup, gravy and water. Mix until well blended then pour over beef mixture. Cook at 350 F for 1 hour. Open oven stir well and add cornstarch. Blend very well. Place back in oven at 350F for one more hour.
Serves 4
This recipe is delicious served over mashed potatoes. Tasted just like when my grandma used to make homemade beef tips and gravy for me when I was younger. My family loved it so much.
